Land Acknowledgement
We acknowledge that we are gathered on the traditional territories of Indigenous Peoples who have lived on and cared for these lands since time immemorial. Ontario is covered by many treaties and agreements and remains the home to numerous First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples.
We recognize the enduring presence of Indigenous communities across this province and their deep connections to the land, waters and skies. We honour the longstanding relationships that Indigenous Peoples have maintained with this territory and acknowledge our shared responsibility to respect and protect it for future generations.
We offer this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to all Indigenous Peoples who continue to live, learn, work and thrive on these lands.
